Discipline

It is our belief that all children should be taught and not told. Children are more likely to take experiences that they have learned with them. They are less likely to remember things that are only explained or told to them. They should be taught what they are permitted to do and shown what are acceptable activities and behaviors. We will utilize Dr. Kersey's "The 101 Positive Principles of Discipline". Dr. Kersey is a professor from Old Dominion University, whom our Director, Anna Chevalier trained under for a number of years.

Safety

The doors will remain locked during school hours. As outlined in the parent handbook, a drop-off and pick-up procedure is in place so that picking up your child is safe and time efficient for all.
