The Murphy Adult Bible Class was originally the only adult Sunday School Class at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church and began soon after the church came into being. It was named after Dr. W. Leonard Murphy who organized and founded our church in 1955.

Fundamentally, the class studies the Bible using various study guides and various teaching styles, such as, discussion, lecture, Bible searches, reports and infrequently skits or videos and even played games. Everyone enjoys and participates in the class no matter what the format.

In delving into the Scriptures many times we recall stories from the past which allow us to experience God’s sense of humor.

We welcome all adults who come with open hearts and minds to allow God’s Word to become a plumb line for our lives.
