Francis Asbury Preschool

We are very excited to offer a preschool for the 2011-2012 school year. Our school is open to all who desire that their child(ren) learn and grow in a loving, caring, and safe Christian environment.

Our Philosophy

It is our belief at Francis Asbury Preschool that each child is a unique individual created by God. We have created an environment that encourages children to explore the world around them. We do so by exposing children to the process of learning through play. We see every experience as a learning opportunity in which a new skill can be taught. At Francis Asbury Preschool children will become well-rounded individuals by teaching them social and cognitive skills, lifelong morals and values as wells as promoting a positive self image.

Opening Date and Hours of Operation

Francis Asbury Preschool follows Virginia Beach Public School's Calendar for holidays and school closings. Our first day of school was on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. School hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. We are a ten month school (closed for the summer). We are currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year. Ages/Potty Training Requirements

We are accepting applications for children 2 1/2 years to 3 years of age. The 2 1/2 year old room will has children who are ages 30 months to 36 months (those children whose third birthday is after September 30, 2010). The 3 year old room is for children whose third birthday occurs on or before September 30, 2010. We request that all children in our 3 year old class be potty trained. If a child's 3rd birthday occurs on or before September 30, 2010 and he/she is not potty trained please speak with the director and together we will work on a solution that best meets the needs of your child.
