Emergency Response to Haiti and Chile

Three United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) jurisdictional coordinators set their sites on Haiti, representing UMCOR and UMVIM to reinforce connections with the Methodist Church of Haiti (EMH), following the January 12 earthquake in that Caribbean nation.

After the strongest earthquake in the region in half a century struck central Chile early Saturday, February 27, UMCOR responded with an initial emergency grant to its partners in Chile to help them bring relief to survivors.

YOU can assist the United Methodist Church in their relief efforts by donating online at the UMCOR online donation system for the HAITI emergency or at the UMCOR online donation system for CHILE. If you use these links to make a donation, you can give our church credit for your online gift. Please follow the directions on the donation site.

100% OF YOUR DONATION WILL BE USED DIRECTLY FOR DISASTER RECOVERY EFFORTS AND HUMANITARIAN AID IN HAITI and/or CHILE.
