Online Giving

The ministries and needs of FAUMC are ongoing. Your continued financial support is crucial during this time.
Many of our church expenses remain the same even though we are not in the building.  This is a difficult time for many and while our financial giving is down, we really appreciate those who are willing and able to support FAUMC.
Your contributions make a difference!

Church Building Closed

Our church building is closed to everyone at this time and we are not allowed to hold meetings at the church.  We have been thoroughly cleaning the church and it is imperative that we continue to avoid having the Covid-19 virus on the premises and avoid being carriers.
Our church staff and preschool staff will be working from home. During this time if you need to contact the church staff, correspondence through phone calls and emails are still available. Mail sent to the church is also being received and processed, including contribution checks.
For updated information regarding FAUMC, please check your email and this website.
Thanks for working together for best safety practices and protection for all!
A Message From Pastor Ed

FAUMC to Return to In-person Worship in Stage 3!

I want to share with you the position of FAUMC on returning to in-person worship.  Our Church Council met on May 26th and decided that FAUMC will not return to in-person worship until Stage 3 of our Conference Plan.  This will occur when Bishop Lewis grants permission for all UM churches to reopen.

The Church Council made this decision after weighing the benefits of potentially reopening as a “Pioneer” (or test) church against the safety concerns, practices and restrictions required.  The Council concluded that holding in-person and/or drive-in worship during Stage 1 and 2 would simply not be wise.  We are currently in Stage 1 that permits 25 people in attendance at pioneer churches;  Stage 2 provides for 50; and stage 3 is a return to a new normal. When we do return to in-person worship the situation will be somewhat fluid and still require some continued restrictions and best safety practices.  In the mean time we will continue to prepare in such a way that we can provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone!

I also want to share with you the most recent letter that we have received from Bishop Lewis  (here) regarding places of worship being deemed “essential.”

We know that God’s timing is perfect in all things.  We trust the Lord to guide and direct us as we continue to worship virtually anticipating a return to being together in person.

Grace, peace & safety,

Pastor Ed
